Each step in the workflow is associated with an API REST Message, as described in API REST Messages Used By App Portal Workflows. This workflow includes the following steps.

| Read Task Sequence Request Data | Extracts request data required by App Portal. After user clicks on the Submit Request button, the data for that request will get inserted into the x\_fls\_appportal\_task\_sequence\_requests table. As soon as the data gets inserted into this table, the workflow will be triggered, and this activity will extract the request data required by App Portal for that request. |
| Submit Task Sequence Request Data | Submits task sequence request data required by App Portal. Uses the App Portal - Submit Order REST message. |
| Notification | Notifies administrator of exceptions in App Portal workflow. |
After a request has been completed, ServiceNow administrators can view that request’s completed workflow, which includes a blue line that indicates the path that was taken.
